**Currently catering for Adelaide and Melbourne residents only** As one of the most multicultural countries in the world, Australia is a melting pot for cultural diversity. International migration is a common occurance and the need to learn more about these cultures is becoming more prominent. This is where Gaia's Genesis comes in. First spawned on 1st October 2004, its aim is to become a globally professional multimedia enterprise with a strong emphasis on multiculturalism.
Gaia's Genesis is a group of professional internet-based people with an extreme thirst to expand their imagination and we're looking for persons with talents in acting, graphics design, animation, music composition, web development and film production. We especially encourage actors and production crew from migrant backgrounds to join our membership and help us accurately portray their culture in our projects.
Gaia's Genesis is all about teamwork. We like to think that the team can cater for the talents of all our members in each of our projects by inspiring each other to produce the best projects there can be. ** We currently only catering for residents living in Adelaide and Melbourne. All interstate and overseas residents are welcome to join us but must be able to provide their own travel and accomodation for projects filmed in South Australia and Victoria. ** The entertainment industry is one of extremely high competition. Funding for certain projects can run into the hundreds of thousands and actors often find themselves out of work due to limited roles available. Musicians struggle to find a record company willing to take a risk with their talents and serious computer gamers are limited in the number of production companies to pitch their concept to.
At Gaia's Genesis, our two major divisions will each specialise in addressing these issues. Adelaide will house the main production group which will aim to help struggling actors and production crew make their credentials known to those in the industry.
In Sydney, the objective of our Interactive Multimedia and Electronic Arts [IMEA] base will be to give musicians the opportunity to digitially record their own music/soundscapes and sell it to a worldwide audience. It will also allow serious computer gamers to create and design their own games with specialized equipment and access to the on-site production house.
