There is tension in the Fletcher/Johnson household. Sophie's workaholic older sister, Renee, doesn't appear to be looking after their father the way she's supposed to and her niece, Leah, is having boyfriend troubles - no thanks to Renee's disapproval of him.

Work life isn't much better either when her research assistant accidentally mixes up the test results of hapless Kai, causing him to experience unpleasant side effects from the treatment Sophie gives him. Now, he's found out the truth and is out for revenge.

When Sophie is diagnosed with Huntington's Disease, life starts spiralling out of control and she'll do anything in her power to regain it, even if it means manipulating other people in the process ...
